On your phone

Run your screens from your phone, and the Sold Out screen for staff.

Pixigns works in your phone's web browser, with nothing to install. Go to your business's address, like yourbusiness.pixigns.com, and sign in with an email code or Google, as on a computer.

How the admin looks on a phone

On a narrow screen, the sections (Screens, Playlists, Media and the rest) run in a row across the top, and each page takes the full width, with nothing to scroll sideways for.

What's good to do from a phone

• Check your screens. Screens shows how many are online (like 1 of 2 online), and any that need attention, like Offline for 3 h. Check its power and network.
• Post or end an urgent message, from Post a Message at the top.
• Turn TVs on or off now, restart a screen, or see what it's sending, from the screen's details. See TV power and Manage your screens.
• Mark menu items sold out, on the Sold Out page below.
• Make quick changes to a design, with Quick Edit below.
• Add a screen by scanning the QR code on its TV. See Add a screen.

Building playlists, arranging slides and laying out designs are easier on a computer.

The Sold Out page

The Sold Out page is made for a phone at the counter: every menu's items, each switched sold out or back with one tap. The TVs change within a minute, without publishing.

1. Open it from Menus, with Sold Out Screen, or go straight to /sold-out at your business's address. Staff land on it whenever they sign in.
2. With more than one menu, choose the menu from the tabs at the top.
3. Tap an item to mark it Sold out. Tap it again when it's back.

• The page shows how many items are sold out, and items that aren't show their price.
• It keeps up by itself every 15 seconds, so changes made by someone else on another phone show up too.
• If a change doesn't go through, the item switches back and the page says why, with the item's name.

Owners, editors and staff can switch items. Viewers see what's sold out with You can see what's sold out. Ask an owner or editor to change it. If there are no menus yet, the page says There are no menus yet. See Menu boards to make one.

Staff accounts for the counter

Give the people who work the counter the Staff role. Staff can only use the Sold Out page: whatever page they open, they land there, with Sign Out at the top instead of the way into the admin. See People and roles.

Quick Edit for designs

On a phone, opening a design in Design gives you Quick Edit: the slide on top, and four tabs for the changes a phone does well.

• Words: change the slide's words, like the title.
• Prices: change prices and mark items sold out. These change your menu itself, so every design and screen showing it follows within a minute, without publishing.
• Photo: take a photo with your phone or choose one, or describe a photo for AI to make.
• Look: colours and fonts, and asking AI for a change, like “Bigger prices” or “Brighter photo”.

Changes save as you go. When you're done, press Publish to Screens and choose where it goes. Moving things around on the slide is left to a bigger screen.
