Privacy Policy
Last updated November 3, 2026
In short:
- We collect what it takes to run your screens: your email, your business details, the content you put on your screens, and how your players are doing.
- We don't rent your information or use your content to train AI models.
- This website uses Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel to count visits and measure our ads, and Meta may use this to show you ads. The Pixigns app, on the web and on your phone, runs no analytics or advertising tools. Your privacy choices.
- Your data is stored in Canada and backed up daily for 30 days.
- To see, correct or delete your information, email support@pixigns.com.
Who we are
Pixigns is run by Q Creatives (“Pixigns”, “we”, “us”), based in Washington State, USA. This policy covers this website (www.pixigns.com), the Pixigns app (app.pixigns.com and your business's own address, such as yourbusiness.pixigns.com), the Pixigns app for iPhone and Android, and the software that runs on Pixigns players.
For your account and billing details, we decide how the information is used. For what you put on your screens, and for the team members and alert contacts you add, we look after it on behalf of your business, to run the service for you.
What we collect
Your account
Your email address. You sign in with a code we email you or with your Google account; if you use Google, we receive the email address and basic profile Google shares. Pixigns has no passwords to store.
Your business
Your business's name, its Pixigns address, and its time zone. The people you invite, their email addresses and their roles. The email addresses you add to receive alerts when a screen goes offline.
Your content
The photos, videos and music you upload, your menus and prices, messages, schedules, and anything you import from Google Slides, Google Sheets or Canva. If you connect Canva, we keep the access it grants us, encrypted. If you make a Wi-Fi sign, the network name and password you type are saved as part of that sign.
Your screens and players
For each player: its software version, how much storage it has, when it last checked in, and whether its TVs are on. We also keep a recent picture of what each TV is showing, so you can check your screens from the app. The Wi-Fi details a player uses to connect stay on the player. A player's own logs are kept in its memory only and are cleared when it restarts.
The Pixigns app for iPhone and Android
The app shows your business's Pixigns pages, so it collects what they do. If you turn on notifications, we keep a token from Apple or Google that lets us send them to that phone, linked to your account, and delete it when you sign out. The app uses the camera and your photos only when you take or choose a photo. It has no ads and no analytics.
Who changed what
An activity log of which team member changed what, and when, so owners can see the history of their business.
Billing
Payments go through Stripe. We never see or store your card number. We keep your Stripe customer and subscription references, your plan and its status, and how many screens are billed.
Player orders
When you order a player, Stripe's checkout collects your email address, phone number and shipping address. We use them to ship your player, email you its tracking number, and work out the sales tax for your address.
Demo requests
If you book a demo on this website, the name, email, phone number, business and number of screens you enter are emailed to us, and used only to arrange and follow up on your demo.
Technical records
Like any website, the services we run on record standard request logs, which include IP addresses. We use them to keep the service working and secure.
Cookies
This website (www.pixigns.com) uses two tools from other companies, and each sets its own cookies:
- Google Analytics, to count visits and see which pages people read. It sends Google your pages, browser and approximate location. When you arrive from one of our Google ads, it also keeps a record of that click (the
_gclcookies) so Google Ads can count whether it led to an order. We've turned off Google's ads personalization for this site, so this isn't used to show you ads. See how Google uses information from sites that use its services. - The Meta Pixel, to measure our ads on Facebook and Instagram. It sends Meta the pages you view and the buttons you click; your browser, IP address and cookie ids; and, on the thank-you page after you order a player, that an order was placed and its value. Meta may link this to your Facebook or Instagram account and use it to show you ads, ours and others'. Meta's use of it is covered by Meta's privacy policy. If your browser sends Global Privacy Control, this website doesn't load the Meta Pixel at all.
To turn these off, see Your privacy choices. This website's fonts are served from our own site.
The Pixigns app uses only what it needs to work:
- a cookie that keeps you signed in;
- a cookie that lasts 15 minutes, which carries a new screen's code through sign-in when you add a screen;
- a note in your browser of your business's address, so signing in next time is quicker, and whether you've hidden the getting-started bar.
The app sets no advertising or analytics cookies.
How we use it
- To run Pixigns: show your content on your screens, keep your players up to date, send sign-in codes, offline alerts and notifications, and back up your business.
- To bill you for paid plans, and to ship the players you order.
- To see which of our ads bring people to this website and lead to orders, through the Meta Pixel on this website.
- To answer you when you contact us.
- To keep Pixigns secure and stop misuse.
- To meet our legal obligations.
We don't rent your information, and we don't use your content to train AI models. The Pixigns app runs no analytics or advertising tools: nothing you do in it, and nothing you put on your screens, goes to an advertising company.
Who we share it with
We use these services to run Pixigns. Each gets only what it needs for its part:
- Supabase: our database, sign-in and file storage, in Montreal, Canada.
- Vercel: hosts this website and the Pixigns app, and runs its scheduled jobs, in Montreal, Canada.
- Stripe: payments and invoices for paid plans, and checkout for player orders.
- The carrier that delivers your player: gets the name and address on your order.
- Resend: sends sign-in codes, offline alerts and demo requests by email.
- Apple Push Notification service and Firebase Cloud Messaging: deliver the app's notifications, if you turn them on. They get the phone's token and the notification's words.
- Google Analytics and Google Ads: count visits to this website, and which clicks on our Google ads led to an order.
- Meta Platforms: measures our ads, through the Meta Pixel on this website, and may use what it collects to show ads (see Cookies). It gets nothing from the Pixigns app.
- Vercel AI Gateway and the AI model providers it uses: only when you use an AI feature, such as reading a menu from a photo or making an image. The text and pictures you give the feature are sent to produce the result.
- Google: if you sign in with Google, or import from Google Slides or Sheets.
- Canva: if you connect your Canva account.
- OpenStreetMap (Nominatim) and MET Norway: if you show the weather. We send the place you choose to find it on the map, then its coordinates, rounded to about a kilometre, to get the forecast.
- YouTube: if you put a YouTube video on a screen, the player loads it from YouTube, in YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode.
We may also share information when the law requires it, to protect people's safety or our rights, or as part of a sale or merger of our business, in which case this policy continues to apply.
Where it's stored
Your data and content are stored in Canada (Montreal). Some of the services above, such as Stripe, Resend and the AI model providers, may handle information in the United States or elsewhere. Wherever it's handled, it's protected as this policy describes.
How long we keep it
- While your business is active, we keep what it needs to run.
- Files you delete are erased for good after 30 days.
- Pictures of your screens: only the latest for each TV is kept, and it's deleted after 7 days.
- Backups are taken daily, encrypted, and kept for 30 days.
- If an owner deletes the business, its content and records are erased within minutes and any subscription is cancelled. Copies in backups are gone within 30 days.
- Your own sign-in account isn't removed when a business is deleted, because you may belong to other businesses. To have it deleted, email support@pixigns.com.
- Billing records and player orders are kept as long as tax and accounting law requires.
How we protect it
Everything travels over encrypted connections. Backups and the access you grant Canva are encrypted. Each person sees only what their role in a business allows. Players only install software updates that we have signed.
Your privacy choices
You can stop this website's tools from following you, and limit the ads you see:
- Global Privacy Control. If your browser sends this signal, this website doesn't load the Meta Pixel, and we treat it as your request to opt out of the sale or sharing of your information for ads. Google Analytics still counts your visit; to stop that too, use Google's opt-out below.
- Meta. Your ad preferences on Facebook or Instagram control whether Meta uses information from websites like this one to show you ads.
- Other ad companies. The Digital Advertising Alliance and the Network Advertising Initiative let you opt out of ads based on your browsing from the companies that take part.
- Google Analytics. Google's opt-out add-on stops it counting your visits.
- Your browser. Its settings can block or delete cookies, and many browsers can send Global Privacy Control for you.
These choices apply to the browser you make them in. The Pixigns app has none of these tools, so there's nothing to turn off there.
Your rights
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, or get a copy. Email support@pixigns.com and we'll reply within 30 days. Depending on where you live, such as California, Canada or the European Union, you may have further rights, and we'll honour them.
If your information was added by a business that uses Pixigns, for example because you were invited to its team, you can also ask that business directly. We'll help it respond.
Children
Pixigns is for businesses and isn't meant for anyone under 16. We don't knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
When we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. If a change matters, we'll email business owners before it takes effect.
